Raising Funds for Vietnam's Children

Raising Funds for Vietnam's Children

Over 150 million children worldwide are orphans, and in Vietnam alone, more than 1.4 million children struggle daily to meet basic needs like food, healthcare, and education. Many of them have been orphaned or abandoned, leaving them without a stable support system.

A few months ago, I set myself the challenge of training for my first half marathon in February 2025 to raise funds for a children’s village in Nha Trang, Vietnam. This village provides orphaned and abandoned children with food, clothing, education, and a safe environment to grow and thrive. I’m proud to say I completed the half marathon, but I haven’t yet reached my fundraising goal.

To continue raising awareness and funds, I then took on the ‘Towers 4 Change’ climb in Melbourne on March 30th, 2025 - climbing four towers, totaling 286 floors. Although I’ve made progress, I’m still working toward my target.

100% of the funds raised will go directly to the children’s village, providing essential resources that will create a lasting impact. The Young Living foundation is hoping to raise enough funds to build houses for the children, as well as pay for a permanent in-house social worker to support the children.

In May 2025, I’ll have the incredible opportunity to visit the village, meet these amazing children, and see firsthand how the funds raised will make a difference.

If you’re in a position to donate and support this cause, any amount would be appreciated. Every dollar counts, and together, we can help create a brighter future for these children.
