Turkey & Syria Earthquake Relief

The Young Living Foundation is matching donations, dollar for dollar up to $30,000 USD, to support efforts to rescue the harmed and alleviate suffering from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake—and subsequent aftershocks—that devastated parts of Turkey and Syria on February 6. This natural disaster has rocked the region and left hundreds of thousands of people displaced and in dire circumstances. As of February 9th, the confirmed death toll surpassed 21,000 and is tragically expected to rise as rescue efforts continue.

The Foundation is partnering with Convoy of Hope, a nonprofit that specializes in disaster relief and already has vital supplies en route to both Turkey and Syria. Convoy of Hope is working throughout the impact zone to ship, procure, and distribute relief supplies.

Ryan Grabill, Senior Director of Convoy of Hope’s International Disaster Services, says, “Right now, people are without access to their most basic and fundamental needs — food, water, and shelter. In the midst of the devastation, our team and field partners are working to bring hope where hope is currently light. Due to the harsh winter weather, even more needs are present. We will continue to work tirelessly to provide food and warmth to those affected by these earthquakes.”
