The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation's flagship project, the Young Living Academy, began in 2009 with 83 students. It is currently upgrading and building new classrooms to cater for 1000 students. Its reputation of being a school of excellence is growing and so is the wait list to be enrolled. 

In July 2022 at a YL event in Sydney, Hazel and I talked about the YL Foundation - starting a joint fundraiser to build 2 classrooms for the YL Academy in Ecuador. Hazel never got to see her dream become a reality, so Jen Gallagher, Lorna Russel and I (Sharon) have started this fundraiser called a "Classroom for Hazel". Before Hazel grew her angel wings, we asked for her approval for the fundraiser. She was thrilled and honored that she would have a legacy in this way. Hazel was full of love, life, laughter and joy.
