Vocational Training in Tailoring & Jute Bag Production
Funds used for: Six months of vocational training (four hours daily), instructor fees, fabric & other teaching materials.
Forty women in rural Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, are seeking vocational training to move from irregular day labor into skilled, income-generating work. Many currently rely on seasonal or informal employment with limited and unpredictable earnings.
This project will provide six months of structured, hand-on training in tailoring, dressmaking, and jute bag production - skills with steady demand in local markets and low barriers to home-based enterprise.
The $6,000 investment covers instructors and training costs for all 40 participants, equipping them with practical skills that can translate directly into sustainable income for their households.
