Funds used for: Purchasing 33 sewing machines.
We've helped thirty-three mothers and caregivers in Ithanagar, Tenali complete six months of tailoring training. During this period, they dedicated four hours each day to learning garment construction, alterations, and repair skills that are in steady demand within their community.
Families in this settlement largely rely on irregular daily wage labor with limited and unpredictable income. With their training complete, the primary barrier to earning is access to equipment.
This group loan will provide one sewing machine per woman, enabling each participant to begin working independently from home, accept tailoring orders, and generate consistent income to support household expenses such as food, school fees, and healthcare.
