Four and a half years ago, a mother in Uganda carried her toddler, Lamu, into a malaria center we support. The test came back positive. She was scared and didn’t know what was happening. Lamu was treated and went home.

This fall, Lamu came back to that same center at six years old, sick with malaria again. This time Lamu’s mother knew the signs right away, because our partner Healing Faith had taught her years earlier. She didn’t wait, and she didn’t guess. She came in.

That’s what $5 buys. It pays for a test, a treatment, and a family that knows what to do the next time.

Our Giving Tuesday Goal: $50,000 to Protect 10,000 Children

Malaria is preventable and treatable when it’s caught early. Most children die from it because the test, the medicine, or the knowledge didn’t reach them in time. Your gift closes that gap.

Here’s how your gift is used:

• $5 tests and treats one child for malaria.
• $25 protects five children.
• $50,000 protects 10,000 children. That includes the children Healing Faith’s outreach teams find in villages far from a clinic, who might otherwise never be tested.

This team already knows how to do the work. In September alone, they tested 1,893 people, treated 970 confirmed cases, cared for 24 pregnant mothers who tested positive, and taught 1,176 households how to recognize and prevent malaria.
