Growing Hope: We’re Opening New Education Centers in India
Because of your generosity, our partnership with Rural Care Ministries in India is growing.
What began with providing tailoring training, sewing machines, and access to clean water is now expanding into education; creating new opportunities for children and families in disadvantaged villages in India.
This month, we're excited to share the launch of four new Young Living Foundation-supported after school centers designed to help children strengthen their education outside of the classroom.
These centers have opened in the Guntur Region of India, all in areas that experience systemic ostracization and a severe lack of resources. Together, these education centers represent a new chapter in our commitment to expanding educational opportunities for children living in underserved communities.
A Place to Learn
One of the newest centers opened in Pragathi Nagar, a slum community i where many families face daily challenges, including limited infrastructure, unreliable access to clean water, and financial hardship. A volunteer teacher, Ms. Pallavi, now leads the center, creating a safe environment where children can receive additional educational support after school.
The first day welcomed 18 students, with enrollment expected to continue growing. Behind every child is a unique story, but many share similar circumstances; parents working as daily laborers, single-parent households, or families struggling to make ends so they can send their children to school.
These after school centers are about more than homework.
They're creating places where children can continue learning, build confidence, and discover new opportunities for their future.
Empowering Women Continues
Alongside these new education initiatives, Rural Care Ministries has also launched another Young Living Foundation Tailoring Training Centre in the village of Katrapadu. The objective of this training center is to provide practical vocational skills that can help provide sustainable income for their families for women typically making about $1/day.
Mrs. Prasanna has been appointed as the instructor, and already 43 women have registered to participate.
The program is underway, with fabric, thread, and sewing supplies purchased, while sewing machines are scheduled to arrive following the concludion of the initial training sessions. It's exciting to see this work continue to grow after the success of our recent Empower a Woman campaign.
Looking Ahead
One of the things we love most about sharing these updates is seeing how generosity creates momentum.

Today, children are finding places to learn.
Women are preparing to launch new careers.
