Every Number Has a Story: A July Update from our efforts to combat malaria in Uganda

Every Number Has a Story: A July Update from our efforts to combat malaria in Uganda

Behind every number is a person.

A child who was tested before malaria became life-threatening.

A mother who received treatment during pregnancy.

A family that learned how to prevent malaria before it spreads.

A village that now has greater access to life-saving healthcare.

These are the moments your generosity makes possible through our partnership with Healing Faith Uganda.

A Month of Life-Saving Care

In June, we continued serving families across the Jinja and Mayuge districts of Uganda, where malaria remains one of the leading health threats for children and families.

Because of your support, the Healing Fauth team was able to provide the following impact last month alone:

  • 3,467 patients were tested for malaria
  • 2,018 patients tested positive and were given life-saving treatment
  • 408 severe malaria cases were identified and the patients received extensive care
  • 80 pregnant mothers were tested, with 29 receiving treatment after testing positive

Each test represents an opportunity to catch malaria early. Each treatment represents a life spared.

Prevention Saves Lives

Healing Faith's work extends far beyond treating malaria.

Education is a core aspect to prevent malaria in the first place. Many in rural villages do not know that malaria comes from a mosquito, ways to prevent contracting malaria and the signs and symptoms of malaria. This is why Healing Faith sends  outreach teams to villages with high rates of malaria to educate families about malaria prevention, helping parents recognize symptoms early and protect their children before illness becomes severe.

In June alone:

  • 1,820 households received malaria education.
  • 2,133 individuals participated in community health education.

This kind of prevention creates lasting impact by equipping families with knowledge they can carry into their homes and share throughout their communities.

Thank You

To everyone who continues to support the Young Living Foundation, thank you.

Your generosity is helping bring life-saving treatment, preventative healthcare, education, and hope to families across Uganda.

We share these monthly updates because we believe every number represents a life touched, a family supported, and a community strengthened.

Together, we're creating healthier futures; one child, one family, and one village at a time.
