A Month of Reading, Winning, and Showing Up at Young Living Academy

A good school teaches a child to read. A great one teaches a child to believe in herself, to trust a teammate, and to reach out when someone else needs help. This month at Young Living Academy, we watched all three happen at once, and none of it would have been possible without you.

A Library That Crossed a Continent

This month, 1,202 books arrived at Young Living Academy, donated by Young Living Essential Oils Brand Partners and shipped by the Young Living Foundation from company headquarters in Utah all the way to Ecuador.

For our students, that is not just a stack of books on a shelf. It is 1,202 new worlds to imagine and 1,202 more reasons to fall in love with reading. It is also something harder to measure but just as important: proof, delivered right to their classroom, that people they will likely never meet believe their education is worth investing in.

Champions On and Off the Court

Our YLA Volleyball U14 team closed out its season in the Promises Cup the way every athlete dreams of: as champions. YLA 2, Cobras 0.

The scoreboard only tells part of the story. Every practice, every match, and every moment these girls spent learning to trust one another built something that will outlast the trophy. Confidence. Discipline. The knowledge that hard work pays off. That is a lesson no lecture could teach quite the same way, and it is one they will carry well past graduation.

Students Supporting Students

For Mental Health Awareness Month, YLA students did not wait for an adult to start the conversation. They started it themselves, through a school wide campaign called YLA News Press.

Their message to classmates was simple and brave: sometimes pain can make it feel like there is no way out, but no one has to face it alone. Talking to someone you trust and asking for help is an act of bravery, and it can make all the difference. Listen. Accompany. Ask. Be present. There is always hope, and it is always worth asking for help.

Watching students choose courage and kindness for one another is one of the clearest signs that Young Living Academy is shaping more than test scores. It is shaping character.

A Campus That Opens Its Doors

The impact of Young Living Academy does not stop at our own gates. This month, students from the Center and School of Intervention for Autistic Children visited our campus for a day rooted in nature and discovery.

They grew and gathered their own food. They learned how a plant grows from seed to harvest. They visited the chicken coop and collected eggs. They decorated buckets and explored the natural world with their own hands. When learning is lived, felt, and discovered rather than simply explained, it stays with a child forever.

Thank You

None of this happens without you.

A Brand Partner who set aside a few books. A donor who covers the cost of a scholarship, a coach, or a classroom. Someone who believes an education can change a life and generously gives so a child in Ecuador they may never meet can have one.

This month, that generosity showed up as 1,202 books on a shelf, a championship trophy in a display case, a braver conversation in a school hallway, and a child from a neighboring school holding a warm egg from the chicken coop for the very first time.

Different stories, same truth. When you invest in Young Living Academy, you invest in the whole child, in the whole campus, and now, thanks to visits like this one, in children beyond our own halls too.

Thank you for making this month, and every month, possible.
